Privacy Policy for Drium
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
Drium builds a warm, living visual journal of your everyday belongings, helping you notice the hidden heartbeat of the things you own. We understand that the photos, usage logs, and personal collection you create in Drium are deeply personal to you. Protecting your privacy is our core promise, and this policy explains our practices clearly and simply.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is required to deliver the core Drium experience you expect:
- Information You Provide to Us: All content you add to Drium, including photos of your belongings (mugs, shoes, guitars, and any other items you capture), custom descriptions, manually logged usage records, and any messages you send to us when you request support.
- Automatic Usage Information: Non-personal interaction data to improve our service, such as how you interact with features like the Pulse Ring, side-by-side item comparison, and gallery navigation. We also collect basic device information (screen size, operating system version) to optimize app performance for your device.
- Cloud Sync Data (Optional): If you choose to enable cloud sync to access your collection across multiple devices, we store your synced collection data on our secure servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
Every piece of data we collect is used to deliver and improve the Drium experience for you:
- Power core features: generate your Pulse Ring usage rhythms, build organic usage charts, deliver gentle insights about your favorite items and forgotten treasures, and maintain your personal gallery collection that feels like a crafted field notebook.
- Improve app performance: fix bugs, optimize interactions with the Pulse Ring and gallery, and refine the personalized tactile experience that makes Drium unique.
- Protect our service: prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to our platform.
- Communicate with you: respond to your support requests and notify you of important product updates if you choose to receive these notifications.
3. Your Control Over Your Data
Your collection belongs to you, and you retain full control over all your personal data at all times:
- You can edit or delete any individual item, photo, or usage log at any time directly within the app.
- You can export your full collection of data in a standard, accessible format at any time.
- You can request permanent deletion of all your account and cloud sync data at any time, with no unnecessary hoops to jump through.
- You can choose to use Drium entirely offline with local-only storage, and no data will be uploaded to our servers.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal identifiable information with third parties for commercial marketing purposes ever. We only share your information in limited circumstances:
- With trusted service providers who help us run Drium (such as cloud storage providers), who are contractually required to protect your data and only use it as we instruct.
- If required to comply with legal obligations, or to protect the safety and rights of Drium, our users, or the public.
- If you explicitly choose to share your collection or insights with others via third-party platforms, that sharing is governed by the privacy policies of those platforms.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. We regularly update our security practices to keep up with industry standards, though no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
Drium is not intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have accidentally collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information promptly.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or product features. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you of material changes through the app or email if you have provided contact information. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
